
Adam has a strong background in woodwork teaching including:
- Melbourne University - teaching furniture construction to Architecture students
- RMIT (Industrial Design)
- Holmesglen Tafe (furniture design), and
- The VWA School of Woodcraft
Adam uses both traditional hand techniques as well as machine tools, as needed.
Adam Stewarts design philosophy is contemporary with inspiration drawn from art deco and Danish periods - Clean lines, pared back simplicity and gentle radial geometry.
With ever increasing environmental concerns Adam is always searching for ways to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals used in the furniture industry and to find eco friendly alternatives.
Adam’s classes will be taken on Wednesday evenings.
