‘Natural Feature’ Hardwood
Throughout the life of our native eucalypt, the impact of the harsh and diverse Australian climate is imprinted in its heartwood. Evocative dark red gum-veins, created as a reaction against fire, injury or drought, streak through annual growth rings. Pin-holes, once inhabited by the ambrosia beetle appear in shot-gun patterns and corksrew trails left are left by squiggly worm. |

Nature’s signature in each piece
The natural features fround in hardwood reveal a history of seasonal diversity and insect activity in the forest. Nature unmistakably leaves her signature and with it the oppurtunity for designers, manufacturers and builders to create totally unique finishes.

Not for the conformist!
Through effective use, Natural Feature grade hardwoods permit expressions of indviduality to be introduced into homes and work places. This is not material for people who take comfort in mass-produced conformity. |

Uniquely Australian As we recognise the previously hidden character and beauty in our hardwoods, greater value will be given to what is uniquely Australian timber, and enable our love of the bush to be reflected in our living and working surroundings. |
